Lean Principles Create Efficient Workflow
Phillips Precision, Inc. moved into its brand-new 9,000 square foot facility in February of 2009. The building is laid out according to lean principles to create efficient workflow. 5S principles for workplace organization and cleanliness are employed and audited. It’s wired with CAT6 cabling, FIOS, and wireless communication and the new systems server keeps information secure. The building is climate controlled, energy efficient, and designed to accept solar panels.

Department Overviews
Milling: 4-Axis CNC’s with 6 seats of MasterCam and capacity to 40”x 26” x 25”.
Turning: Capacity to 15.75” diameter with bar feed capacity of 1 7/8”.
Grinding/Honing: Surface grinding to 16”x32”, cylindrical to 13”x36”, automatic and manual honing.
Cutting/Finishing: Automatic cut-off saw to 12x12”, blasting cabinet to 3’, tumbling, and mig welding.
Inspection/Testing: Tesa Micro-Hite CMM with range 17.32” x 19.69” x 15.35”, optical comparator, TesaHite gage, surface and hardness testers. 
Assembly: 5S organized inventory and assembly area to build your machines.
